Problem

Our world is in desperate need of living at a higher level of love awareness and action. Children, parents, & adults in our society are not taught the basic Love Skills needed to end low self-esteem, establish effective relationships, & resolve conflicts. This lack of love skills expertise results in isolation, anger, depression, arguments, divorces, & violence. Organizations and nations are equally in need of leaders and followers with love skills that can end hatred, intolerance, apathy, hostility, crime, and injustice.   

Vision

Our vision is to raise universal love awareness and awaken everyone to the joy of living as a Love Master. As part of this vision, we have introduced the term "Love Master" so that it can become a defining, accepted, & respected concept helping to advance love in our civilization.

Strategy

We are deeply dedicated to raising universal love awareness and awakening a world of Love Masters. And we know this make take many years - perhaps even hundreds of years, yet we can begin now. Our strategy is designed to penetrate to the very foundation of our understanding of love as a civilization. Here's our strategy already at work as you read this Action Plan:

1.  Introduce the term Love Master (see above definition) so that it becomes a household word and the entire world population can discover, learn, and acknowledge the importance of love and be inspired to become Love Masters.

2.    Write, teach, & disseminate articles, books, tapes, and CDs which teach love and the love skills that enable anyone to live as a Love Master.  The following mission-focused products are already at work:

• A free monthly email Course in Love & Healing, consisting of over 50 articles on love and healing, to help individuals learn the love skills of a Love Master. People from throughout the United States and 35 additional countries signed up to receive this course. It is also available on our website as a free resource. Click here.
   

• The Love You Deserve: A Spiritual Guide to Genuine Love book, copyright 1998, Second edition 2002, is designed to show individuals and couples how to establish relationships on the solid foundation of love in 10 key areas.  All proceeds from this book have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.
   

• Liberating Your Magnificence: 10 Keys to Loving & Healing Yourself, copyright 1999, is designed to teach people how to love themselves and become all they are meant to be. All proceeds from these tapes have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.
   

• All the Love You Could Ever Want! 6-CD set or 6-Audio tape set (8 hours), copyright 2000 & 2006, lays the foundation for the love skills and living as a Love Master.  All proceeds from these tapes have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.
   

• Love Heals: How to Heal Everything with Love book, copyright 2003, and its companion Love Heals Study Guide, copyright 2005, is designed to enable anyone to learn to heal as a Love Master. All proceeds from this book have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.
   

• Love Skills for Personal & Global Transformation: Secrets of a Love Master book, copyright 2006, is designed to teach 60 love skills that are the foundation of living as Love Master.  This is also available as an eBook. All proceeds from this book have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.
   

• Love skills Inspiration Cards, copyright 2006, are designed as a companion to the Love Skills book to enable people to quickly learn and practice the top 60 love skills of a Love Master. All proceeds from these cards have been gifted to TheLoveCenter by the Pecks to provide the needed income for TheLoveCenter to operate.

3.     Establish a School of Love to enable participants to learn the basic and advanced love skills of a Love Master (Note: Began with first students in June, 2006). Scholarships from TheLoveCenter are available to students, teachers, and those who apply and qualify for financial aid.

4.    Create an opportunity for Advanced Love Masters to be excellent Love Master Teachers.  See School of Love: Level 3.

5.     Provide FREE weekly Love Notes to a global audience with short, inspirational love messages that teach people how to live as a Love Master.

6.     Provide a free monthly column to magazines & online sites throughout the nation and world. These columns now reach over a million readers every month.

7.   As Co-Founders of TheLoveCenter, speak broadly and passionately about raising love awareness and awakening a world of Love Masters, using all possible forms of communication - printed columns, radio broadcasts, TV, workshops, telecourses, and speaking engagements. The Pecks are co-hosts of a nationwide, one-hour, weekly call-in radio show, "Love Talk," on Sirius satellite radio, channel 114.

Leadership

TheLoveCenter, a non-profit educational organization established in 1999, is in a unique position to bring this vision to successful reality. Dr. Scott Peck & Shannon Peck, authors collectively of four books on love & healing, are co-founders of TheLoveCenter & have distributed 100% of the profits from their books, audios, & workshops to TheLoveCenter to provide the means, in addition to contributions, for TheLoveCenter to operate.  Scott & Shannon have extensive leadership & management talent in curriculum development, writing, speaking, teacher training, & organizational management. 

Funding

TheLoveCenter became a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization, approved by the IRS, in 1999. Income from 2000 through 2005 has been a very modest average of $34,000 annually.  87% of this income has come from the Peck's gifting to TheLoveCenter 100% of the income from the sale of their books, tapes, and workshops & their own financial contributions. 13% of the income has come from outside contributors.  Because of the Peck's generosity as well as lean budgeting, TheLoveCenter has operated in the black every year of its existence.

This income from 2000 through 2005
has been devoted to:

1.   Establishing & maintaining a website that is open to the entire world with an abundance of free love resources as well as products that support the existence of TheLoveCenter and its mission to raise universal love awareness and awaken a world of Love Masters. This website, with close to 1,000,000 hits per year, is the true global headquarters of TheLoveCenter.

2.   Printing & distributing the books, inspiration cards, and CDs that carry the message and vision of raising universal love standards and awakening a world of Love Masters.

3.   Creating & supporting continuing workshops and telecourses that teach the love and healing skills that will inspire and reshape our world. Scholarships are available to those who apply and qualify for financial aid.

4.  Paying for the minimal operating expenses of TheLoveCenter. These expenses are minimal because TheLoveCenter has no physical location nor has it paid any salaries, even to the Co-Founders and Co-Executive Directors. This has restrained the growth of TheLoveCenter, but not stopped a determined and ever-increasing momentum of getting the message of love awakening and love skills out to the public at large.

The above information is shared openly because we want contributors to know how much TheLoveCenter is accomplishing with very modest resources.  Without the Peck's contribution of 100% of the products from their books, tapes, cards, workshops, & telecourses, TheLoveCenter would not exist.  To date, TheLoveCenter has no paid employees. The Pecks have been able to sustain the giant momentum of TheLoveCenter by not farming out what most companies pay others to do. The Pecks are the webmasters for www.TheLoveCenter.com, the creators and operators of TheLoveCenter online store, the designers of all TheLoveCenter brochures, publishers of the entire self-published line of products, & manage the warehousing and fulfillment of all orders placed through TheLoveCenter online store. The Pecks are continually developing new products and ways to spread TheLoveCenter's message.

Although the Pecks are each employed full-time in other occupations, everything TheLoveCenter has accomplished has been through the Peck's tireless devotion without any financial income to themselves.  It is the hope of TheLoveCenter's Board of Directors that the Pecks become full-time paid Executive Directors of TheLoveCenter with the necessary staff needed to fulfill the global mission of raising love awareness and awakening a world of Love Masters.

As you can see, TheLoveCenter has a HUGE vision despite its humble beginnings. Imagine the scope of our mission statement to raise universal love awareness and awakening a world of Love Masters.
