Deep within your soul, you have huge dreams. We all do.
Before reading on, let your heart briefly summarize your biggest life dream. What, in a nutshell, is your life purpose?
Our dreams often seem so fragile and so far from possibility that our hearts despair – or give up. So it’s literally a dream-saving, heart-saving, & life-saving question to ask:
What love skills keep your dreams alive?
The first love skill is to allow your heart to dream.
Perhaps your inner core has been beaten back or is afraid to come out of hiding. Or perhaps you think your dream is so big that sharing it might cause others to laugh. Transcend such thinking to a higher platform. Your life dreams are vital to the unfolding of the universe. Get it touch with destiny as you bring focus to your life mission. Think big and outside of time. What is your highest calling?
The second love skill for keeping your dream alive is to cherish your dreams. How often do you remember, review, or state your dreams – even to yourself? Without cherishing, our dreams remain invisible like a bulb beneath the soil that has not yet expanded into growth.
Cherishing our dreams means we encourage them, just like we water a plant that is seeking to grow. Give meditation time to your dreams. Give wings to your dreams in a journal. Hold the space in your heart for your dreams to come true. Become a dream-cherisher to others. You’ll be surprised how rapidly their dreams come to the surface in an environment of cherishing. Dreams cannot resist love. Find dream buddies. Cherishing of others’ dreams will be music to your own.
A third love skill for keeping your dream alive is to act on your dreams. Step outside the walls of time-centered, laundry-list thinking. Give your dreams a 15-minute window of opportunity. There are an infinite number of steps you can take – however small. For example, we began this article by opening a new document and creating the title “Keeping Your Dreams Alive.” That took less than a minute, but it began an energy flow. And now, here you are with us, learning to love yourself even more with a new dream-buddy.
Still another love skill for keeping your dream alive is resilience. Life has a way of shutting us down. Often it’s something someone says, intentional or not. Become an expert at resilience – bouncing back into your destiny space. This takes forgiveness, wisdom, letting go, and lots of inner love talk. But what a higher & more satisfying way to live!
The last – vital – love skill for keeping your dream alive is to love yourself deeply as your dreams are unfolding. Let go of scorecard-outcome-thinking and judging yourself. Move into process-living. For example, what good is a dream of bringing more love to the planet if we are angry at ourselves during the process? Practice relaxing into the flowering of your dream. Love each tiny unfolding.
Remember, your life purpose is unique. You alone were destined to bring forward your highest dream. No one else can substitute for you. We are holding the space for your biggest, most noble dreams to come to fruition – and flow into being with joy. Welcome to the heart of Love!
